Al Rayan Bank has appointed Simon Moore (pictured above) as an independent non-executive chairman.
He will replace Robert Sharpe, who is stepping down from the role after four years.
Since 2016, Simon has served as chairman of Cambridge & Counties Bank.
In addition, he was a member of the management board of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) from 2013 until 2016 and its director responsible for London and the South of England.
Simon said that he was excited to join Al Rayan Bank.
“This is a bank with a clear sense of purpose which allows it to connect with customers in a unique way.
“I look forward to working with the board and the management team and am confident that we can collectively capitalise on the opportunities that lie ahead.
“On behalf of the bank, its board and shareholders, I would like to thank Robert for his leadership and guidance as chairman.”
