Weatherbys Bank adopts .bank domain

Martin Greenland | 07:28 Wednesday 12th July 2017

Weatherbys Bank has become one of the first banks in the UK to adopt the bank domain as it revealed its newly redesigned website.

The .bank domain was introduced to help prevent cybercrime via online banking websites.

The specialist bank's new website was created to offer Weatherbys' customers clear and simple information on its wide range of services, including lending, deposits, investment, wealth advice and specialist finance services for racehorse owners.

The bank's previous website weatherbys.co.uk will continue to provide information on Weatherbys services to racehorse owners, racecourses, breeders and trainers.

Roger Weatherby, chief executive at Weatherbys Bank, said: “We take the issue of cybercrime very seriously.

“Accordingly, we are pleased to be one of the very early adopters of the .bank suffix – which is only available to licensed banks – and we will be changing our domain name to weatherbys.bank.

“Our commitment to service excellence remains a top priority.

“In addition to providing our clients with this additional level of security, we have redesigned our website.

“Navigation has been simplified and is complemented by a clean, contemporary design which provides easy access to online banking and our wider financial services offering, including lending, deposits, FX, investment and wealth advice.”
